Integration and self-fulfilment

Adaptation classes (FLE)

The Adaptation Class, also known as FLE (Français Langue Étrangère), is designed for students from 6ᵉ to Terminale who have attended school abroad and require personalized support to acquire a command of the French language, both spoken and written. Our approach emphasizes integration and a warm welcome, creating an environment conducive to each student's personal development.

An Immersive Family Home

We believe that a warm welcome is essential to help our students adapt to their new school, a new language and new habits. To foster this integration, our school limits the number of students in this class, enabling rapid linguistic and cultural immersion with students from other classes.

Personalized teaching by level

At the start of each school term, we form groups of students according to their level, so that we can tailor our teaching to their individual needs. The teacher assesses each child's level of French knowledge to establish a specific program, with clear objectives defined for each term.

Parents are regularly involved and informed of their child's progress, ensuring effective collaboration and mutual understanding of educational needs.

As soon as the teaching staff deem the student's level to be sufficient, the child is immediately offered a place in the "classic" French curriculum.

Adapted Teaching Method

We use a teaching method that respects the pace and particularities of each child. Pupils complete individual work files, adapted to their level, after having benefited from targeted lessons in a small group. This system rewards each student's effort, without devaluing their results in comparison with others.

Our teaching is designed not to underestimate the hard work of foreign students. We understand that the French national curriculum cannot be assimilated as quickly by these students, and we offer the support they need to progress at their own pace.

Valuing Progress

Our main aim is to motivate every child to improve their skills, by rewarding their efforts rather than penalizing them for difficulties in spelling or grammar. We are committed to providing an educational environment where every student can flourish, feel valued and progress towards a solid command of the French language.

DELF: International Certification

Every year, our students have the opportunity to take the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française), an official certification issued by the French Ministry of Education. This internationally recognized exam assesses students' skills in written and oral comprehension and expression. DELF preparation is an integral part of our program, enabling students to acquire the language skills they need to pass the various tests. Obtaining this diploma represents a real added value for students, whether for further studies or for their future professional life.

Registration Level Test

In order to create homogeneous groups and best meet the needs of each student, a level test is carried out on registration. This test assesses the student's written and oral comprehension and expression skills. Based on the results, the student is assigned to a group adapted to his/her initial level, with individualized follow-up to guarantee progress.
